Not Quite Granola is a play on the concept of ‘crunchy’, as in ‘crunchy parenting’ or ‘crunchy living’.
Crunchy refers, but is not limited to:
- Attachment Parenting
- Gentle Parenting
- Free Range Childhood
- Eco-Friendly Living
- Conscious vaccination choices
- Alternative education choices
- Natural Products
Like most ‘crunchy’ families – or at least those that will admit it – we don’t do everything on the list of things that could be included. For example, we don’t use ‘family cloth’ (we use single use toilet paper), we aren’t completely TV free, and we aren’t entirely sugar or plastic free. We eat organic as much and often as we can, but not always.
You will find no judgement here.
There was one of those ‘meme’ things that went round a while ago, asking how ‘crunchy’ you were. My result was crunchy like granola. Life goes in ebbs and flows. When I have everything ‘together’, we’re crunchy like granola. When I don’t we’re a bit like granola in a bowl full of milk. From yesterday.
This is our life.
I’m whimsical and wordy sometimes, wistful, a dreamer, much like a four year old, I sometimes like to see the world as I wish it was, rather than how it is.
